Sent

I just finished reading the inspiring book Sent by Hilary Alan. This was a perfect book for me at this time of my life. You see, I have spent the past several years being very curious about Ministering to other families. I have always dreamed about traveling to other countries and helping to build schools, teach and or raise children. I just didn't believe it was possible with little children. After reading the Alan's story and how they gave up what they thought everything was to actually gain so much more than they ever had, was amazing.
This is the perfect book for a Christian family to read. It speaks to your heart, As a mom I could feel the pain and uncertainty that they felt when they were deciding to pull their children away from all that they knew to answer God's calling. Sent gives you a real sense of what it was like to be in another country where everyone speaks a different language and has different beliefs. By the end of this book you will feel like you know this family, and you will truly understand what it is like to be a missionary.
